Pennington Annual Big Begonia Red
Annual Big Begonia flowers can be a beautiful addition to your garden. These gorgeous red flowers are easy to grow and thrive in a wide range of climates and soils, requiring full sun to full shade, and in between. Big Begonia blooms are big - up to 3 times larger than traditional wax begonias. You can expect blooms in the early to late summer. Spent blooms will fall off the plant, so no deadheading is required. These big, beautiful flowers are perfect for landscapes, containers, borders and hedges. They stand out from the crowd and provide the "Wow" factor we all crave. Choose the perfect sunny or part shade outdoor location with a well-draining soil. Water over the soil when the top 2" of the soil is dry and soak the soil thoroughly. Check new transplants and hanging baskets daily. Turn hanging baskets weekly for uniform growth and bloom. Try planting Big Red Begonias along walkways or at the garden's edge. Space the flowers out 12" to 14" apart for best results.
