The best time to seed your lawn is spring or early fall when average daily temperatures are between 60° to 80° Fahrenheit. An occasional mowing helps keep your new drought-tolerant lawn looking and performing its best. But to keep your clover thick and healthy, avoid removing more than one-third of the plant height in any single mowing.
During hot summer months, if you do mow, increase your mowing height. Even though your Smart Seed and clover lawn tolerates drought, higher mowing heights help reduce stress on your lawn during hot, dry times.

One final and very important point to remember: Avoid all types of herbicides on areas seeded with Pennington Smart Seed Clover + Grass Mix, including weed-and-feed fertilizer products.
