Tom Kissee Ranch, Lawrence Co., MO
“We planted the first of our 300 acres of MaxQ in 2012. When it got established and the cattle began to eat it, we immediately saw the change in them. The cows are more content, they graze more hours, and they stay out of the ponds. When our yearling heifers are turned out on the pasture, it’s almost unreal. It might be a week before they come to the feed lot. They are completely satisfied out grazing in the pasture. We stockpile some Kentucky 31 tall fescue and we almost have to lock our cattle on it to clean it up. Our novel fields aren’t that way. The cattle will graze. I’m seeing healthier cattle and isn’t that what it’s all about?"
